Spacious Single Occupancy Rooms

Our single occupancy rooms are thoughtfully designed to provide you with the comfort and privacy you need. Each room is equipped with a cozy bed, spacious desk, dresser, closet, and bookshelf, ensuring that you have everything you need for a productive and comfortable stay.
All utilities are included.

Residents also have access to several common facilities:

  • A computer lab (wifi and laser printer incl.)

  • Living rooms

  • Group study room

  • Chapel

History of Valrideau

  • 1989

    Neeje Association for Women and Family purchased a large historic building at 463 Daly Street in downtown Ottawa.

  • 1990

    Valrideau University Residence opened its doors to the first group of students.

  • 2001

    Valrideau University Residence underwent an expansion that added additional living space and a beautiful chapel.

  • 2023

    A new steel roof was installed.

Services

Nurturing A Home Away From Home

At Valrideau Residence, we understand the importance of a clean and comfortable living environment. That's why we offer weekly cleaning, laundry services, and home-cooked meals to ensure that our residents can focus on their studies and enjoy their time in Ottawa.

  • Weekly cleaning of personal rooms'

  • Sheets and towels provided + weekly cleaning of personal rooms

  • Two home-cooked meals daily, weekly packed lunches, and holiday Sunday brunches

Location

Valrideau Residence is conveniently located close to the University of Ottawa, the city centre, and the OC Transpo system.

 

Safety and Security

Valrideau University Residence prioritizes the safety of all residents and follows the safety policy established by the Neeje Association for Women and Family, the owner of Valrideau. We are committed to providing a secure and protected environment for everyone.

If you have questions about Neeje’s safety policy or have a particular safety issue that you would like to bring to Neeje’s attention, please contact the Board of Directors’ safety officer at safety.securite@neeje.ca. If you do not feel comfortable speaking with a member of our Board of Directors, you can contact your local police or children’s protection services. If a minor is at risk, please call 911.
